Job Description
FirstWave Talent Strategies has been retained to identify a Chief Medical Officer for a growth-oriented healthcare organization committed to clinical excellence and long-term value creation.
This executive will shape clinical strategy, elevate quality outcomes, and align medical leadership with enterprise direction. The Chief Medical Officer will serve as a key architect of care delivery standards, regulatory compliance, and innovation across the organization.
This is a strategic leadership role requiring disciplined judgment, operational fluency, and the ability to influence at the executive and board levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct the clinical operations and strategic planning for patient care services.
- Develop and implement clinical policies, procedures, and standards to ensure high-quality care.
- Lead initiatives aimed at improving patient safety, quality of care, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with healthcare executives to drive clinical innovations and value-based care initiatives.
- Foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement among clinical staff.
- Stay abreast of healthcare trends, regulations, and best practices to inform strategic direction.
- Enhance communication between clinical teams and management, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Job Requirements
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) with an active and unrestricted license.
- A minimum of 10 years of clinical experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven expertise in healthcare management and quality improvement practices.
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare laws, regulations, and accreditation standards.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and team-building skills.
- Track record of successful program development and implementation in a healthcare setting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a patient-centered approach.
