Role Description

This position is responsible for overseeing and managing technical IT projects. Under the direction of the ITS Project Management Office, the Project Manager will:

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate activities surrounding department or organizational project(s) and initiative(s) to ensure goals and objectives are met within prescribed time frame and funding parameters.
  • Manage all phases of IT projects - feasibility, planning, design, build, test, implement, and close.
  • Follow the ITS project management lifecycle and governance process.
  • Use the enterprise PPM tool for project management and team collaboration.
  • Build and lead cross-functional project teams.
  • Develop, resource, and manage project work plans.
  • Facilitate information flow between project team members, management, vendors, and other project stakeholders.
  • Facilitate and operationalize relationships with external organizations, vendors, and other strategic partners.
  • Collaborate with PMO team members and other ITS stakeholders to foster continuous improvement of BMCHS ITS project management practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; preference for a degree in project management, IT, engineering, or business.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required or the ability to obtain it within 6 months of employment.
  • Experience with tools used for project management (MS Project, Planview, ServiceNow PPM, Clarity, Jira, etc.) preferred.
  • Master’s degree a plus.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of experience in project management, including software/system project experience.
  • Experience in all phases of project management on medium-to-large-scale projects.
  • Business process flow analysis experience preferred.
  • Healthcare project management experience preferred (e.g., hospital, health insurance, pharmacy, Medicare, Medicaid, etc.).
  • IT project management experience preferred (e.g., enterprise software implementation/upgrade, hardware implementation/upgrade, IT infrastructure projects, health insurance product implementation, etc.).
  • Proven success working in a highly matrixed environment.
  • Proven experience in managing multiple vendors.
  • Prior supervisory experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated technical skills and knowledge.

Compensation Range

$89,500.00 - $130,000.00. This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, considering factors such as education, experience, skills, and certifications/licensures as they relate to position requirements.
