Role Description
The Faculty Advisor for Business is a key member of the Faculty Advisory Team within the Pearson North America Higher Education Customer Success Organization. They will strategically identify and partner with key course-level administrators, acting as a pedagogical and subject-matter expert on the alignment of Pearson digital products with instructors’ learning objectives and student outcomes.
- Expertise and experience in teaching Business & Economics at the college or university level
- Expert-level knowledge of Pearson digital implementation models within courses related to their own teaching/research field
- Investigate and respond to questions, offering tailored responses to specific audiences and purposes
- Develop and utilize a set of milestones to effectively track growth and success
- Collaborate with other teams to provide insights and feedback from the perspective of an instructor
- Equip faculty at pre-identified accounts with necessary skills and information to maximize the impact of Pearson digital products
- Facilitate face-to-face and virtual trainings or workshops
- Create implementation-specific product tutorials or videos
Responsibilities
- Partner with course-level administrators to advise on the integration of Pearson digital products
- Consult on digital assessment, grading, and reporting strategies
- Create department-specific training resources such as videos, guides, and webinars
- Consult with product teams to advise on products under development
- Partner with Sales in campaigns, calls, meetings, and demonstrations
- Use success metrics and reporting structures to provide documentation of recommendations and course design evolution
- Requires some travel to conduct face-to-face training and implementation workshops
Qualifications
- Master's degree in assigned discipline area is required
- At least 5 years of experience at the collegiate level or comparable is required
- Power-user experience with Pearson MyLab preferred
- Additional business education or credentials a plus
- Experience at technical colleges, trade schools, or career and technical education centers a plus
- AACSB knowledge and experience a plus
- Quality Matters knowledge and experience a plus
- Online teaching experience preferred
- LMS Experience preferred
- Experience with Copilot and other Generative AI tools a plus
- Ability to engage with international customers in different time zones a plus
- Experience presenting at conferences, department meetings, and events
- High Achievement: Collegiate Teaching Award(s)
Requirements
- Schedule: 40 hours per week; flexibility to accommodate teaching schedule may be possible
- Salary: $68,000-73,000 annually
- This position is eligible for Pearson’s annual incentive program
