Role Description
UnitedLex Corporation seeks an IP Source Code Senior Consultant in Overland Park, KS.
- Work on projects involving source code review.
- Travel onsite to review the source code produced at onsite locations across the U.S.
- Consult attorneys, litigators, and technical experts on patent/technical litigations.
- Help build/support the technical infringement theory in patent/technical litigation cases.
- Perform patent and software source code analysis.
- Prepare Evidence of Use reports, showing how the claimed functionality is performed by the accused software/products.
- Provide timely reports to project manager and clients.
- Ensure assigned tasks are executed within the stipulated timelines.
- Complete ownership of communication with client about technical deliverables.
- Ensure successful completion of all projects, including ensuring deliverables are of high quality and technically accurate.
- Mentor and guide other team members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or its foreign equivalent).
- 4 years of professional computer programming or engineering experience.
- 2 years of experience in the field of IP and Monetization Strategies.
- 2 years of experience using relativity hosting tools to conduct confidential document reviews.
- 2 years of experience leveraging source code review tools (e.g., PowerGREP, Beyond Compare, Eclipse, or CYGWIN).
- 2 years of experience using tools such as Fiddler or WireShark.

Experience in the following technology domains:
- Telecommunication (i.e., GSM, 2G, 3G, 4G LTE technologies)
- Software (i.e., ERP, CRM, and ecommerce websites both client and server architecture and search engines technology)
- Wired/Wireless networking (i.e., encryption, authentication, and authorization techniques)
- Experience performing prior art search and creating anticipatory and obviousness claim charts based on the prior art search results.
- Experience providing patent portfolio analysis and licensing/monetization services.
- Experience performing target scouting, evidence mining, and preliminary infringement contentions for 100+ targets.
- Experience utilizing databases used for evidence mining, such as Delphion, Thomson Innovation, or IEEE.
- 1 year of experience in the analysis of source code using Java or C++.
Requirements
- Telecommuting (remote work) is permitted.
- Domestic travel is required 50% of the time to provide consulting services to clients (mostly in Texas, New York, and California) once or twice per month.
- Must have authority to work permanently in the U.S.

Salary Range
The salary range for this role is $130,000 to $150,000 per annum. Select roles are additionally eligible for Incentive Compensation in the form of our Annual Performance Bonus Program.
