Job Description

• The Contracts Administration Manager is responsible for negotiating, structuring, and/or administrating contractual documents that establish business relationships with vendors, customers and/or partners • Works with sales and service teams as well as the legal department to structure contracts • Analyzes contracts to ensure compliance to company policy, government specifications and other requirements • Confers with procurement staff, legal staff and management on various legal matters; inspects and reviews contracts for compliance with certification requirements, laws, regulations, policies, and procedures • Develops short and long-term strategies and goals for the administration of assigned contracts • Leads the work of others • May conduct training on complex contracting issues of statewide significance • Oversees contract documents and ensures management understands and authorizes contract terms involving multiple statewide contracting programs • Oversees development, writing, revision and/or preparation of highly complex contracts, amendments, subcontracts, procedures, forms, related documents and provisions and reports • Oversees maintenance, updating, and compilation of detailed data, reports, summaries, files, records, logs statistics or specific contracts including procurement documents and revisions; oversees writing of routine and unique correspondence • Oversees the administration of complex agreements and contracts • Provides advanced technical and administrative support to include reviewing, processing, answers questions, provides assistance and handles complaints and resolution of discrepancies and problems regarding contracts, billing, payment and warrants

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S/B.A) from four-college or university and 8+ years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must be able to lead a cooperative effort among members of a project team
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Public relations skills for maintaining effective working relationships with individuals and groups
  • Ability to lead, assign, review and monitor the work of others
  • Ability to analyze complex business, technical and managerial problems and develop, recommend and implement effective solutions
