Role Description

Join a high-performing transportation and logistics team that is driving cost efficiency, operational excellence, service reliability, and commercial value across Stryker’s U.S. distribution network. As Transportation Solutions Manager, you will lead collaboration and drive policy development to unlock the commercial value of our transportation solutions.

You will serve as the lead transportation representative from our Global Transportation and Trade (GTT) Center of Excellence to our commercial to ensure maximized value in transportation. The focus of this role is to develop and own the value proposition of freight for Stryker. In this role, you will examine, review, and progress our freight billing strategy and policies to align Stryker and customer goals. This role partners closely with:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of the overall policy framework for commercialization of transportation services
  • Implement policies through strategic initiatives which align with commercial objectives
  • Understand, catalogue, and maintain processes for customer freight terms set up and updates
  • Understand freight billing methodologies and their intersection with cost structures and systems capabilities
  • Develop deep relationships and be a trusted thought partner for our commercial, finance, and operations organizations as applicable
  • Monitor and analyze weekly and monthly cost and revenue reports, identifying variances, risks, and revenue improvement opportunities
  • Review monthly revenue versus budget and partner with Finance to communicate trends, risks, and savings opportunities
  • Act as the primary liaison for all transportation revenue topics across internal stakeholders, including Procurement, Commercial, Transportation, and Logistics

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, transportation, business, operations, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in transportation or related areas in a high-volume manufacturing or distribution environment
  • Working knowledge and experience with cost drivers in the parcel, LTL, and courier segments of the transportation industry
  • Excellent financial and analytical skills
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional collaboration through multiple functions
  • Ability to influence without direct authority and hold partners accountable to performance expectations
  • Experience leading issue resolution, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present data-driven insights to senior leadership
  • Consultant-grade presentation building skills with an adept understanding of and appreciation for audience
  • Exercises sound judgment and balances risk and reward in dynamic and ambiguous environments

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in supply chain, business, or related field (preferred)
  • Experience in a regulated, medical device, or healthcare distribution environment (preferred)
  • Experience with various information modeling techniques (such as data and process flow diagrams, entity-relationship diagrams) (preferred)
  • SAP ERP knowledge and SAP TM experience (preferred)
  • Familiarity or experience with Lean, Six Sigma and/or other continuous improvement methodologies (preferred)

Benefits

  • $102,600.00 - $222,300.00 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits
  • Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors
  • Travel Percentage: 20%
