Role Description
This position provides remote administrative and operational support to a busy orthopedic practice. The role involves managing patient communications, supporting clinical workflows, and assisting with insurance and documentation processes to help ensure patients receive timely care.
- Convert patient voicemails into telephone encounters and route appropriately
- Monitor and respond to incoming inbox messages
- Assist with FMLA and disability paperwork coordination
- Support patient intake coordination and intake management
- Assist with prior authorizations and insurance documentation
- Enter and manage information within the electronic health record (EHR)
- Scribing into electronic health record (EHR)
- Communicate with internal clinical and administrative teams to resolve patient needs
- Maintain professionalism, accuracy, and confidentiality at all times
- Support a high-volume healthcare environment while maintaining attention to detail
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years experience working with U.S. healthcare systems
- Experience with medical administrative tasks such as prior authorizations, inbox management, or intake coordination
- Experience using EHR/EMR systems (Epic experience preferred)
- Experience communicating with patients or clinical staff

- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
