The Role

The Senior Lead Product Manager (PM) is responsible for supporting Fabric Solutions Managed Service solutions and associated customer agreements. The role will focus on expanding product portfolio and process improvement to meet market demands. A primary focus will be managing the Enterprise channel – working with technical sales teams to gain an understanding of the customer requirements (potentially across data, voice, wireless, and wi-fi capabilities). The PM will be primarily responsible for managed service product lines ensuring product definition, communication of product scope, and driving agreements Legal to closure with client. The other product management responsibilities include supporting the planning and execution of the overall product lifecycle and serving as both a business and technical product expert. The person in this position will be required to closely align themselves with Sales, Sales Technical Support, Offer Management, Legal, Procurement, Operations, IT, Product Development, Marketing, and Finance to drive success. Given the dynamic nature of Managed Services the product focus of the role may evolve with changes to customer priorities, so this is a great opportunity if you like to learn!

The Main Responsibilities

  • Detailed understanding of Lumen procurement processes and 3rd party technology partner management.
  • The ability to perform multiple tasks of challenging assignments requiring alternative analysis, innovations, and judgment
  • Technical working knowledge with Data and Voice networks and technologies
  • Demonstrated experience with deploying SDN, SD-WAN and SASE environments
  • Responds to proposals or sales requests and translates requirements into customer proposal/SOW and ensures the proposal can be successfully executed by “operational” organizations if contracted
  • Negotiates business terms and conditions for customer and vendor contracts. Responsible for vendor management including sourcing, pricing, and daily ‘deal-by-deal’ negotiations for select services
  • Supports pricing, contracts, business case development, responding to customer technical questions, and managing deal Change Requests
  • Works with key stakeholders across the entire company which may include: Sales, Sales Technical Support, Offer Management, Legal, Procurement, Operations, IT, Product Development, Marketing, and Finance
  • Supports business case development and ongoing program financial reviews to ensure the project financials (costs and revenues) are achieved
  • Ensures supporting processes and systems associated with the product are current and optimized to reduce product cost basis.
  • Provides input to Managed Service strategy and product roadmap and creates tactical plans to deliver program roadmap.
  • Benchmarks company products to competitor products. Stays up to date with industry news, company consolidations and competitive landscape.
  • Assist in the development of positioning and go-to market plans

What We Look For in a Candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience
  • Extensive Professional Services, managed services, or operational experience within the telecom industry
  • Experience in project or program management
  • Experience in End-to-End new product development in the telecom or technology industries
  • Experience with Vendor Management
  • Proficiency with Salesforce.com, SAP Ariba, ServiceNow
  • Experience with Network technology and operations
  • Drives creativity and productivity by displaying a positive, “can do” attitude
  • Ability to drive results both individually and in a matrixed environment
  • Demonstrated success in managing and prioritizing multiple projects/tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven experience managing conflicting priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to effectively draft and negotiate agreements such as RFP’s, MSA’s and or SOW’s.
  • Strong financial and analytical capabilities
  • Exhibits a strong sense of urgency, makes fact-based decisions quickly and efficiently
  • Comfortable working with remote peers and/or managers and executives inside and outside Lumen
  • Great at building and maintaining relationships across various organizations
  • Adept at using all Microsoft Office products and collaboration tools

Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

 

Location Based Pay Ranges:

$129,639 - $172,852 in these states: AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MO, MS, MT, ND, NE, NM, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, UT, VT, WI, WV, and WY.
$136,121 - $181,494 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NC, NH, NV, OR, and RI.
$142,603 - $190,137 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DC, DE, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.
