Role Description

We’re looking for a Global Benefits & Retirement Specialist to take full ownership of day‑to‑day benefits, retirement, wellness, and leave administration across the U.S., Canada, U.K., and Australia.

  • Manage employee leaves from start to finish—confirm eligibility, guide pay and documentation, and ensure compliance at each step.
  • Answer day‑to‑day questions about benefits, 401(k), RRSP, TFSA, pension, and superannuation plans with clear and timely support.
  • Lead employee education sessions covering new‑hire benefits, open enrollment, and ongoing wellness and retirement programs.
  • Host quarterly sessions to help employees understand and make the most of their retirement programs.
  • Drive wellness initiatives that link physical and financial wellbeing through engaging campaigns and educational sessions.
  • Own our “Know Your Benefits” communication strategy, keeping resources current across Slack, newsletters, and onboarding materials.
  • Manage benefit and retirement enrollments in Rippling and coordinate data with vendors such as Anthem, Wex, Empower, and international retirement providers.
  • Oversee day‑to‑day operations of 401(k), RRSP, TFSA, pension, and superannuation plans—from eligibility and setup to contribution monitoring and changes.
  • Reconcile retirement deductions and vendor reports, working with partners to correct variances.
  • Build and share insights on benefits, retirement, and wellness metrics to help leadership refine our total rewards strategy.
  • Support wellness events such as global step challenges, track engagement, and report outcomes to the People & Culture team and brokers.
  • Partner with HR Ops and Finance on audits and reconciliations to ensure every benefit, enrollment, and contribution aligns end‑to‑end.
  • Maintain SOPs and templates for process consistency, recommending automation or workflow improvements where possible.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in benefits administration, including healthcare, COBRA, and leave management.
  • 2+ years administering global retirement plans such as 401(k), RRSP, TFSA, pension, or superannuation—covering eligibility, contributions, and vendor coordination.
  • HRIS experience (Rippling preferred) for benefits processing, reporting, and vendor reconciliation.
  • Skilled in supporting employees through multiple channels—Slack, email, and virtual office hours.
  • Experience assisting with audits, reconciliations, and cross‑functional reporting.
  • Comfortable leading education sessions and simplifying complex benefits topics for employees.
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field (or equivalent hands‑on experience).
  • Certifications such as CEBS, SHRM‑CP, PHR, or relevant Canadian or U.K. credentials are a plus.
  • Strong understanding of leave laws, documentation, and compliance across multiple countries, with an ability to interpret complex regulations clearly.
  • Proficient in administering global retirement programs, including 401(k) (U.S.), RRSP and TFSA (Canada), pension plans (U.K.), and superannuation (Australia).
  • Skilled in data analysis and reconciliation using Excel or Google Sheets, ensuring accuracy across systems and vendor reports.
  • Confident in presenting and simplifying benefits concepts to make information accessible and engaging.
  • Experienced using HRIS platforms (Rippling preferred) for enrollments, reporting, and plan administration.
  • Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and proactive in identifying process improvements and automation opportunities.
