Role Description
This role involves centralized referral coordination for IU Health Physicians, with experience desired.
- Outbound calls to patients and physician offices
- Inbound calls from the Referral/Appointment Navigation mainline
- Use of multiple electronic healthcare systems (EMR)
- Appointment scheduling, patient registration, and triage facilitation
- High-level customer service and problem resolution
- Consultation and referral support for the Referral Team, as part of the Patient Access Center
- Position will be remote
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years in customer service
- Medical field experience required
- Referral coordination experience preferred
- Experience with EMR systems: E-Centaurus, Cerner, Careweb
- Insurance referral/precertification experience preferred
