Role Description

As Synapse Health continues to scale its market-leading technology platform, the BI Reporting Analyst will play a critical role in enabling data-driven decision-making across our growing Equip line of business. Equip focuses on transforming the durable medical equipment (DME) experience in post-acute care settings—including hospice and long-term care—by modernizing workflows, strengthening vendor partnerships, and improving access to high-quality care through technology.

  • Transform raw data into meaningful insights that inform operational, business, and performance decisions across the Equip organization
  • Partner with stakeholders across Business, Operations, Product, and Leadership to understand KPIs, metrics, and reporting needs, translating them into scalable BI solutions
  • Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports that provide accurate, timely visibility into key operational drivers such as referrals, fulfillment performance, turnaround times, and supplier metrics
  • Analyze healthcare and operational datasets to produce industry-relevant reporting that supports care delivery, operational performance, and strategic planning
  • Assist in modeling and defining new datasets and metrics that can be reused across teams to streamline workflows and enable consistent reporting
  • Prototype exploratory analyses and dashboards to help stakeholders evaluate operational scenarios, identify trends, and assess new business opportunities
  • Support the development of shared knowledge and self-service analytics capabilities, empowering stakeholders to answer routine questions independently
  • Develop deep familiarity with Equip data domains and business processes, serving as a trusted analytics partner to the team
  • Collaborate closely with Data Engineering to improve data quality, reliability, and performance within the analytics platform
  • Support day-to-day analytics operations by troubleshooting reporting issues and iterating quickly as business needs evolve

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

  • Working knowledge of Sigma or similar analytics tools
  • Strong SQL and data analysis skills
  • Experience gathering requirements and documenting PRDs
  • Analytical problem-solving and structured thinking
  • Ability to communicate insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Exposure to healthcare pricing or value-based concepts (preferred)
  • Healthcare, post-acute care, or DME experience is a plus
