Role Description
Responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting market data to support strategic decision-making and competitive positioning. This role involves conducting market research, analyzing industry trends, and providing actionable insights to enhance Mass General Brigham's market strategies and business development efforts. Build and maintain synthetic agents and AI productivity and workflow tools, and assist with other innovation initiatives to ensure Marketing and Communications remains at the forefront of technological (AI) advancements.
- Collect and analyze data on healthcare market trends, patient demographics, and competitive activities.
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative primary and secondary research, including creative testing; Design surveys and analyze data from various populations, including current and prospective patients.
- Analyze market data to identify key trends, opportunities, and threats impacting the hospital’s business.
- Prepare and present comprehensive reports and visualizations of market intelligence findings to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
- Monitor and evaluate competitors’ activities, service offerings, and market positioning.
- Conduct a SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) to assess competitive advantages and areas for improvement.
- Lead internal patient panels, from setting strategic goals to execution and data analysis. Collaborate with external vendors to maximize value and maintain engaged patient panels.
- Develop and maintain AI agents, including synthetic users, to facilitate data access and knowledge sharing across the department and with stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Marketing or Related Field of Study required
- Master's Degree Related Field of Study preferred
- 2+ years of experience required in market intelligence, market research, or data analysis, preferably within the healthcare or hospital sector or other highly matrixed organization
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, with the ability to provide actionable insights and turn data into compelling narratives.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SPSS, SAS, data visualization platforms).
- Experience and/or certification in AI tools required. Experience building and maintaining synthetic users and other AI agents is required.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including CoPilot and CoPilot Studio.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent writing and storytelling skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with cross-functional teams at all organizational levels as well as with outside vendors; ability to work through influence across diverse groups.
