Role Description
As the Staff Solutions Architect, you will drive the transformation of BECU’s digital member experience by leading the design and implementation of innovative technology solutions.
- Bring clarity to complex engineering problems
- Partner closely across teams
- Help drive integration work that elevates BECU’s servicing and branch systems
- Unblock critical initiatives and reduce architectural backlog
- Guide teams toward scalable, modern, cloud-native designs
- Influence long-term strategy and ensure solutions align with technology and business priorities
- Create the architectural foundation that empowers BECU to serve members better every day
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, or a related field, or equivalent work experience is required; advanced degree is preferred
- Minimum 7 years of experience designing and implementing technology architectures required
- Demonstrated experience in cloud native technology including microservice architecture, Restful APIs, and massively scalable designs
- Comprehensive knowledge of technologies and supplier capabilities
- In-depth knowledge of modern technology service architectural hosting, security, and risk management concerns
- Familiarity with the Microsoft infrastructure and solution stacks
- Deep understanding and experience working within Lean/Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Knowledge of industry trends, value propositions, and best practices for technology
- Proven experience cultivating strong relationships throughout the organizational hierarchy
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills
- Strong facilitation and presentation skills
Requirements
- Certification in LEAN, Agile/Scrum, or ITIL principles is highly preferred
- Working knowledge of architectural frameworks such as The Open Group, NIST, ISO 19xxx, BizBok, or Gartner preferred
