Providence is seeking a seasoned Network Engineer 2 – DDI to lead the design, implementation, and support of enterprise-scale DNS, DHCP, and IP Address Management (IPAM) solutions across a highly available, mission-critical network environment. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable DDI services using both on-premises and cloud-based technologies, while driving automation, enforcing DNS security policies, and resolving complex network challenges. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in DDI platforms, enterprise networking, and Agile collaboration to ensure resilient, efficient, and secure network operations.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering
- 3 or more years of related experience
- Experience in automation, specifically related to deployment, recovery, or other manual processes
- Experience Scripting with one of PowerShell, Perl, Ansible, VB Script, Python, SQL
- Experience with n-tier solutions
- Experience with resilience modeling (failure mode analysis) and ability to simulate service outages for point solutions (automated) and platforms (manually).
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting Infoblox DNS, DHCP, and IPAM (DDI) solutions in large enterprise environments, with a strong focus on high availability, security, and reliability
- Proven expertise in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting DDI appliances across on‑premises and Azure environments, including HA architectures, upgrades, backups, and ongoing platform health monitoring
- Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting DNS services, including delegated zones, forward zones, and Azure Private DNS zones
- Skilled in DHCP administration, including scope configuration, failover associations, options, and reservations, with ownership of IPAM address planning, subnet management, and IP lifecycle governance
- Experience managing external domains, including domain registration, DNS hosting, and integrations—preferably with Cloudflare and Akamai
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for resolving complex DDI-related network issues in enterprise environments
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross‑functionally with network, cloud, security, and application teams to define and deliver DDI requirements
- Experience with network automation and infrastructure as code, leveraging tools such as Python, PowerShell, and Terraform
- Familiarity with AI-driven tooling and GitHub-based workflows for automation, version control, and collaboration.
Working knowledge of BIND 9, Infoblox, BlueCat, and other comparable DNS platforms - Experience supporting network services in a healthcare environment, with an understanding of reliability, compliance, and mission‑critical operations
