Role Description

We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our growing team. This role will play a critical part in ensuring a smooth and compliant employee experience across the organization, with responsibilities spanning:

• Leave and performance management
• Workplace accommodations
• Contractor lifecycle oversight
• Policy maintenance

The ideal candidate will bring strong knowledge of employment law, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to navigate sensitive issues with discretion. This is a dynamic position requiring a broad range of HR, operational, and problem-solving skills, and offers the opportunity to support a fast-paced, scaling environment.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years progressive experience in an HR or People function, preferably in a generalist role
• Strong knowledge of leave management, accommodations, and employment law compliance (FMLA, ADA, etc.)
• Experience with California and San Francisco specific employment regulations
• Some familiarity with immigration processes and employment-based visas is a plus
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage sensitive employee information with discretion and confidentiality
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to communicate clearly across teams and levels
• Proven success working in dynamic, fast-paced environments - startup or scaling company experience preferred

• A stable high-speed internet connection for remote work
• This role is remote, but you will be required to come to on-site meetings multiple times per year
