Role Description

This student internship is being offered as a part of EO's Ignite Internships program and is for high school students only.

This internship is offered in partnership with the Smyth County Public Schools and is open to SCPS students only.

Internship duties and responsibilities include:

• Providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office
• Supporting administrators and counselors through a variety of tasks
• Communicating with visitors and assisting them in their needs
• Responsible for confidential and time sensitive materials
• Communicating effectively via phone and email
• Completing duties accurately with high quality and in a timely manner
• Reporting to the administrative person they are assisting
• Performing general office duties as directed by the school administration, guidance counselor, and administrative assistant
• Maintaining a high level of confidentiality
• Demonstrating a high level of responsibility and professionalism
• Exhibiting general office skills
• Providing general support to visitors
• Dressing business casual every day
• Demonstrating good communication skills
• Completing any other tasks as assigned by administrators, guidance counselor, or administration assistants
