Role Description

The UnitedLex Vice President of Business Development is primarily responsible for successfully driving new client business in large, enterprise prospects. This critical role is responsible for lead generation, pipeline development, and ultimate sales conversion activities in corporate law departments and/or law firms.

  • Develop and manage new business opportunities through all stages of the sales cycle.
  • Maintain a robust deal pipeline toward targeted potential accounts to continually grow new business.
  • Work with executive and C-level decision-makers to develop long-term strategic relationships.
  • Create and execute on a strategic business plan to meet or exceed established sales goals.
  • Successfully represent, and manage sales opportunities for, any of UnitedLex's services.
  • Coordinate with global marketing and sales enablement to prepare and deliver powerful, persuasive presentations that effectively demonstrate the value of ULX services and solutions.
  • Evangelize the ULX brand, representing the company at key conferences and professional events.
  • Collaborate with operations and client engagement services to ensure successful new client onboarding.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 8+ years of related work experience.
  • Experience selling legal managed services to large companies and law firms, with a specific background in eDiscovery, Litigation, Legal Operations and/or similar spaces.
  • Passion for enterprise transformation, strong interest in technology and how it is impacting today’s legal departments and organizations.
  • Dynamic, persuasive presence with outstanding communication skills.
  • Success-oriented, self-motivated, resilient, resourceful operator.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and skilled at working effectively with matrixed, cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent collaboration skills to build relationships within the Litigation team as well as with other company stakeholders and third parties.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple initiatives while working in a fast-paced, global environment.
  • For certain roles, priority will be given to candidates who have contacts in and the ready ability to conduct sales meetings in specific geographies.

Salary Range

The salary range for this role reflects the range of factors that inform case-by-case compensation decisions including education, experience, training, licensure, certification, and geography as well as the business and organizational needs specific to the role. A reasonable estimate of the current base compensation range for this role is $150,000 to $200,000. This role is additionally eligible for Incentive Compensation in the form of our Sales Commission Policy.
