Role Description

As a founder, you will lead the development and growth of the venture. You will work closely with Mindsets Ventures team to validate, build, commercialize and scale the venture.

  • Product Vision & Strategy: Defining the "why" and "what" of the product, creating wireframes and prototypes, and setting the product roadmap.
  • Project Management & Communication: Translating product vision into technical requirements, reviewing MVPs, and managing product development.
  • Customer Validation & Market Research: Conducting user interviews to validate the problem, ensuring the product solves a real market need.
  • Business Development & Sales: Forging partnerships, identifying market opportunities, and driving early customer acquisition.
  • Fundraising & Investor Relations: Pitching to investors, managing stakeholder relationships, and securing funding.
  • Team Building & Hiring: Recruiting, hiring, and managing technical talent or outsourcing agencies to build the product.
  • Other Founder Responsibilities: Any other responsibility required from a non-technical founder to build the startup such as being the face of the brand, sales, marketing, growth hacking, attending events, etc.

  • Has strong understanding of the industry considered in the target market.
  • Is experienced as an ex-founder in raising capital and leading the strategic and operational execution of a new venture from early validation to scale.
  • Thrives in uncertain, fast-paced environments and able to operate lean and pivot quickly based on new insights or market feedback.
  • Is able to lead product development, either by driving the process directly or by onboarding a capable technical co-founder.
  • Demonstrates strong communication and interview skills, with a wide network in the industry considered and understands how to build trust and relationships with stakeholders.
