Job Description
• Own and manage all recurring client billing, subscriptions, and invoices
• Ensure billing aligns with signed proposals, SOWs, SLAs, and service start dates
• Oversee ACH and credit card payments through Stripe
• Monitor failed payments, manage retries, and reconcile payments against invoices
• Enforce company billing policies and payment terms
• Escalate delinquent accounts appropriately and professionally
• Serve as the primary point of contact for billing inquiries and adjustments
• Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Account Management, and Leadership to ensure billing accuracy
• Monitor outstanding balances and identify risk patterns to reduce revenue leakage
• Maintain and improve billing SOPs, documentation, and internal best practices
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in billing, finance operations, or revenue operations
- Direct ownership of billing (not just assisted)
- Experience with recurring or subscription-based billing models
- Experience handling disputes, chargebacks, collections, or payment failures
- Experience managing ACH and credit card payments
- Strong working knowledge of Stripe or similar payment platforms
- Strong understanding of subscriptions, retainers, and scope-based billing
- High attention to detail with the ability to quickly spot inconsistencies
- Strong written communication skills for client-facing billing conversations
- Ability to enforce policies confidently without escalating conflict unnecessarily
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with Sales, Account Management, and Leadership

- Experience billing against SOW and SLA-driven agreements
- Familiarity with ACH mandates and recurring subscription models
- Experience handling payment failures, disputes, and escalations
