Role Description
This role involves performing clerical and administrative duties in the care management department.
- Review service requests from internal and external customers; respond accurately and timely.
- Provide accurate information to internal and external customers (reports, flyers, data collection).
- Perform data entry and maintain complete documentation of case information; assist in document maintenance or revisions; compile monthly reports; maintain logs and files.
- Plan, organize, and carry out work assignments timely and orderly.
- Maintain folders for various projects organized for easy access.
- Use appropriate judgment in upward communication regarding department or employee concerns.
- Participate in routine meetings and maintain a current task, shared task list or current projects.
- Meet productivity, quality, and turnaround time requirements on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Create, manage, and pull invoices to confirm payment, revenue, and expenses.
- Ability to pass external audits to include URAC and NCQA.
- Maintain HIPAA compliance per company’s policy and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality and minimum requirement rules.
- Complete all required yearly training per company’s expected period.
Key Competencies:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft and Adobe products including but not limited to; Excel, Word, Power Point, Adobe, Air Table, Power BI, and Outlook.
- Data analytics and analysis knowledge.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and multitask in a fast-paced/deadline driven environment.
- Finance or bookkeeping knowledge, skills, and terminology.
- Demonstrate ability to work independently with excellent judgment.
- Accurate data entry skills (40wpm).
- Knowledge of medical terminology; ICD-10, CPT & HCPCS coding desirable.
- Strong customer orientation.
- Good time management skills; highly organized.
- Comfort learning new systems, tools, and workflows in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- High school graduation or equivalent (GED).
- Prior experience in a medical front office, hospital patient intake or medical claims processing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient in Excel and/or Airtable.
- Experience working with claims, utilization management, care management, or revenue cycle data.
- Experience preparing reports, summaries, or dashboards for operational or leadership review.
- Experience working with healthcare administrative data (e.g., claims, eligibility, benefits, billing, or authorizations).

- Ability to perform the essential job functions safely and successfully with or without a reasonable accommodation, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance.
- Ability to sit for 6-8 hours.
- Constant use of computer keyboard and mouse; repetitive use of both hands.
- Occasional to frequent twisting of neck; frequent bending of neck and at waist.
- Able to move and set up tables and chairs.
