Role Description

Locumsmart is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our team. We’re looking for someone capable of driving strategic initiatives from concept to completion while ensuring that our processes, systems, and people are aligned to deliver measurable results for healthcare organizations and staffing agencies alike.

As a Senior Project Manager, you'll lead our most complex and high-visibility cross-functional initiatives that span technology implementations, operational transformation efforts, and enterprise change programs. You'll operate with significant autonomy and play an active role in shaping how Locumsmart manages its portfolio of strategic work.

Responsibilities

  • Own the delivery of Locumsmart's most complex, multi-workstream initiatives spanning operations, technology, and client-facing programs.
  • Define project governance structures, develop integrated plans, manage interdependencies across teams, and maintain executive-level visibility into portfolio health, risks, and prioritization.
  • Lead operational transformation efforts using process improvement methodologies to drive measurable reductions in operational cost.
  • Translate improvement findings into sustainable standard operating procedures and performance metrics.
  • Architect and lead change management strategies for significant technology and operational initiatives.
  • Develop stakeholder engagement plans, lead organizational readiness assessments, design communication and training approaches, and track adoption through defined success metrics.
  • Act as a strategic bridge between technology delivery teams and business operations.
  • Ensure that platform changes are paired with the process design and team enablement needed to generate outcomes.
  • Build and evolve Locumsmart's project and portfolio management capabilities.
  • Develop standard methodologies, tools, and templates that improve how the team initiates, executes, and closes work.
  • Mentor other project managers and serve as an internal resource on PM, Lean, and change management best practices.

Qualifications

  • Advanced project and program management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex, multi-team project initiatives with competing priorities, ambiguous scope, and high organizational visibility.
  • Comfortable managing up, across, and down simultaneously.
  • Applied expertise in process improvement methodologies and the ability to lead improvement initiatives from problem definition through solution implementation and results measurement.
  • Proficiency in change management frameworks with the ability to design and execute change strategies at the program level.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect operational and technology decisions to financial outcomes, client experience, and strategic goals.
  • Exceptional communication and facilitation skills.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of project or program management experience, with at least 2 years leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives in a technology-enabled operations or healthcare/staffing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience applying process improvement methodologies in a business operations context.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Information Systems, or a related field — or equivalent experience.

Preferred

  • PMP or PgMP certification.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
  • Prosci Change Management certification or equivalent formal training.
  • Experience in healthcare staffing, workforce management technology, or VMS platforms.

Benefits

  • 401(k) retirement plan with company match.
  • Traditional healthcare benefits such as medical and dental coverage, and some unique benefits like onsite health centers, corporate wellness programs, and free behavioral health appointments.
  • Flexible work schedules - including work-from-home options available.
  • Recognition programs with rewards including trips, cash, and paid time off.
  • Family-friendly benefits including paid parental leave, fertility coverage, adoption assistance, and marriage counseling.
  • Tailored training resources including free LinkedIn learning courses.
  • Volunteer time off and employee-driven matching grants.
  • Tuition reimbursement programs.
