Job Description
As Head of Product, you will own the product vision, structure the decision workflows that power Sage © , and translate our proprietary curriculum, AI capabilities, and expert network into a deeply trusted, daily-use product for families. You will envision, build, and deliver an integrated world-class experience that will engage and delight millions of early learners, families, and educators to meet the needs of families during early childhood . You will work side by side with our Chief Learning Officer to ensure the highest levels of product trust and safety. You will also work side by side with our CMO on a product-led go to market strategy that will drive scale.

You have a track record of building products with strong product-market fit and organic growth. You are passionate about human potential, driven by technological innovation, a champion and super-user of AI-powered experiences, and capable of building and shipping with speed while upholding user-centered design, scalability, and measurable impact. You couple your passion for product with a playbook for leading high performance teams.
We will consider both permanent and temp-to-perm roles, with a 3 month upfront contract and high potential to convert to full time employee.
What You Will Own
Lead consumer research and insights work to inform need states and shape our product vision
Define and continuously refine the long-term product vision for Sage © alongside the Begin ecosystem
Translate company North Star into a clear, sequenced product roadmap
Design the integrated decision workflow that moves beyond Q&A into action, follow-through, and results
Prioritize the most defensible moats (context graph, expert layer, family network, partner ecosystem)
Lead product design for AI-driven experiences grounded in real family context
Partner closely with AI/engineering to define how foundational models integrate with proprietary curriculum and structured data
Build systems that improve with longitudinal usage and deepen personalization over time
Establish evaluation frameworks to ensure quality, trust, and measurable outcomes
Productize our expert ecosystem (teachers, coaches, therapists) into scalable 1:1 and group workflows
Design seamless handoffs between AI guidance and human coaching
Ensure every interaction reflects Begin’s credibility and safety standards
Shape the evolution of our Dynamic Learning Profile in partnership with our Learning Team
Define how signals (behavioral, milestone, engagement, preference, family circle) inform recommendations
Ensure privacy-first, compliant data practices that reinforce brand trust
Move product thinking beyond engagement metrics to outcome metrics
Define and measure impact across:

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
Clearly articulate product vision, strategy, and progress to internal stakeholders, investors, and partners.
Collaborate with marketing, sales, and customer success to ensure products are positioned effectively.
Represent the customer voice across the organization and advocate for their needs.
Have led product at a consumer subscription platform or vertical AI company
Have built AI-native products — not just layered AI on top of existing UX
Think in systems and workflows, not just screens and features
Understand how to turn data into durable personalization advantages
Have experience building products with high trust needs (health, fintech, education, parenting, etc.)
Have developed products for parents and/or children with experience working with subject-matter experts
Are deeply user-obsessed and can translate emotional consumer needs into structured product solutions
Have scaled products from early traction to meaningful revenue
Qualifications
10+ years in product leadership roles, including experience owning full P&L impact
Demonstrated experience shipping AI-enabled consumer products
Experience building freemium subscription-based or membership products
Strong analytical orientation — able to connect product decisions to retention, LTV, and margin
Proven ability to recruit and lead senior product managers and designers
Comfort operating in high-ambiguity, fast-evolving environments
Strong written and verbal communicator capable of influencing executive stakeholders

Salary MIN: $225,000 MAX: $325,000 . This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location and other relevant factors.
