Job Description
• Manage a team of Senior Consultants delivering personalized retirement guidance and mid-level fiduciary advice.
• Monitor and drive performance in key areas including managed account enrollment, asset retention, and participant satisfaction.
• Coach team members on advice depth, Empower's Best Interest Profile (BIP), rollover strategy, and integrated product conversations.
• Supervise and approve account openings and fiduciary recommendations in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Provide regular coaching, development conversations, call reviews, and quality assessments.
• Collaborate with internal WPA partners, Workforce Management, and Segment teams to ensure alignment of staffing, messaging, and business goals.
• Partner with Wealth, Advice, and Digital Experience leaders to enable participant transitions and increase holistic household engagement.
• Track team performance against KPIs including activity targets, plan-level growth, conversation quality, and planning tool utilization.
• Identify training needs, performance gaps, and process enhancements to continuously improve service quality and team effectiveness.
• Promote a team culture centered on professionalism, development, diversity, and accountability.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- FINRA Series 7, 24, and 66 required. (Series 9/10 acceptable substitute for 24)
- FINRA fingerprinting required.
- 4+ years of experience in financial services, retirement planning, or advisory environments.
- 2+ years of experience in people leadership, team coaching, or training preferred.
- Strong understanding of retirement planning tools, managed accounts, and core investment concepts.
- Working knowledge of Empower systems, planning technology, and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce).
- Skilled coach with the ability to elevate technical planning conversations.
- Confident in fiduciary supervision and regulatory oversight.
- Strong communicator and motivator with a passion for growth and development.
- Data-driven and capable of translating performance insights into coaching strategy.
- Collaborative across Workplace Planning & Advice (WPA), Wealth, and Experience teams.
