Job Description

The Senior Compensation Analyst is responsible for the analysis, design, implementation and administration of competitive compensation programs that are innovative, compliant, and cost effective to support Businessolver’s philosophy and business needs, in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Provide support to HR and business professionals on the execution, implementation, and administration of compensation programs and policies to help attract, retain, and motivate employees. Apply knowledge and expertise in compensation best practices to ensure company competitive pay position to market while following Businessolver’s compensation philosophy and pay guidelines. Perform complex analytical studies in a variety of compensation areas, such as internal equity, competitive pay practices, incentive compensation, and emerging trends. Conduct research, evaluation and analyses of internal and external market research, analyze competitive position and market trends and make recommendations for base salary structures, promotional adjustments, market adjustments, new hire job offers, and/or variable pay programs, as needed. Prepare written exhibits, summaries and recommendations for market adjustments and special pay programs. Give presentations on compensation programs to management and employee groups. Provide advice, guidance and training to managers, employees and HR colleagues in the interpretation and administration of the organization's compensation programs and policies with a focus on service and designing programs that meet business needs. Participate in compensation survey benchmarking, input, and reporting. Partner with external survey vendors to ensure all requirements and deadlines are met. Keep up to date with all relative federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations to ensure compliance. Support other Total Rewards projects on an as-needed basis.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Business, Accounting, Finance preferred
  • 5-7 years of experience in compensation analysis required
  • Knowledge of compensation policies and practices, as well as federal and state wage and hour law
  • Advanced MS Excel experience (pivot tables, macros, advanced formulas)
  • Strong knowledge of competitive market/salary surveys
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy; ability to handle multiple tasks, shifting priorities and ambiguity while remaining flexible
  • Attention to detail a must and proven ability to use discretion in dealing with confidential information
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with various levels of managers and employees, and work in close partnership with others on our Engagement team
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • The pay range for this position is 66K to 105K per year (pay to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, balanced against internal equity and competitive market based geographic ranges)
  • This role is eligible to participate in the annual bonus incentive plan
