• Design, develop, and maintain dbt models to transform raw data into analytics-ready datasets • Refactor and modularize existing dbt implementations, simplifying complex SQL into reusable, testable components • Implement and enforce dbt best practices, including folder structure, macros, seeds, incremental models, and environment promotion patterns • Translate business reporting requirements into structured data models and transformation logic • Ensure data quality through dbt testing, documentation, lineage, and source freshness monitoring • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the data pipeline, from ingestion through transformation and reporting layers • Optimize SQL queries and dbt models for performance, maintainability, and scalability • Support reporting go-live efforts and contribute to long-term data support planning • Partner with internal teams for knowledge transfer, documentation, and integration alignment
