Job Description

• Oversee incoming and outgoing submittals, responses, correspondence, and documentation. • Ensure documents are properly received, reviewed, categorized, tracked, archived, and accessible per agency policies. • Monitor team performance, workloads, and deliverables across multiple concurrent projects. • Develop, implement, and improve document control processes, standards, and workflows. • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to meet document control requirements and project priorities. • Proactively identify, resolve, and communicate issues, risks, and progress to management and project stakeholders. • Perform quality assurance, quality control, and audits to maintain document repository standards. • Ensure compliance with document control, records management, and retention policies. • Mentor team members and promote continuous improvement, efficiency, and customer service excellence. • SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum five (10) years of experience as a Document Control Manager.
  • At least three (5) years of prior experience as a Document Controller within engineering and/or construction environments.
  • Proven experience managing document control for large-scale infrastructure projects, preferably in transportation.
  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and organizational communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience in issue resolution, reporting, and prioritization.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including team management, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of submissions.
  • Requires a detailed knowledge of industry standards and methods.
