Job Description
• Design and implement enhancements and updates to an existing software platform;
• Develop and maintain robust, well-documented APIs;
• Collaborate on database schema design and performance optimization;
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code using modern backend frameworks, such as Node.js, Nest.js, and/or Typescript;
• Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions;
• Troubleshoot, debug, and improve system reliability and performance;
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of experience designing and implementing backend services and APIs;
- Experience building applications using NestJS or a comparable Node.js framework;
- Understanding of and exposure to API architecture and development (RESTful services, versioning, authentication, etc.);
- Experience working with PostgreSQL or another relational database;
- Experience with Azure or another major cloud platform;
- Experience working with and improving existing systems, not just greenfield development;
- Highly analytical, technically proficient, and able to learn new tools and software quickly.
- Drive to solve problems efficiently and creatively on your own within delivery timelines.
- Experience developing with a focus on prioritizing clean architecture, documentation, and long-term maintainability.
