Job Description

• Collaborates effectively with technical staff and project managers to ensure successful preparation of project schedules, scopes, and objectives. • Applies technical experience to assist with the development of cost estimates and the formulation of project budgets. • May allocate potential resources and assign individual assignments on smaller portions of a project, ensuring technical capabilities and expertise align with project objectives. • Provides high-level technical guidance and support to solve drilling complexities and maintain progress on drilling assignments. • Tracks project completion by monitoring schedule, resource utilization, and expenses. • Attends project meetings to develop client relationships and review project performance. • Promotes efficiencies in producing quality work and identifies opportunities for improvement among technical processes. • Documents all project deliverables and maintains records including correspondence, drilling plans, and other project related files. • May mentor and provide technical guidance to less experienced staff. • May be required to work in all types of terrain and weather conditions and on project sites in various stages of construction.

Job Requirements

  • Associate degree in a construction related field preferred
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in geotechnical drilling
  • Ability to obtain and maintain railroad and safety certifications
  • Ability to pass Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements and obtain a commercial driving license (CDL)
  • Has experience in the following drilling disciplines:
  • Continuous flight augers
  • Hollow stem augers (3 1/4 inch, 4 1/4-inch, and 6 1/4-inch)
  • NQ wireline coring/tooling
  • Well installation
  • American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) sampling methods.
