Job Description
• Manage ASC 340-40 (Deferred Costs Accounting)
• Maintain complete and accurate account reconciliations
• Perform monthly and quarterly calculations, including amortization schedules and true‑ups
• Prepare and record related journal entries
• Maintain organized, audit‑ready support and documentation
• Prepare and update ASC 340‑40–related financial statement footnotes
• Partner with Advisor Compensation team to ensure accuracy, GAAP compliance and assist in automation of process
• Support M&A Transactions
• Meet with newly acquired teams to understand billing processes, revenue models, and contracts.
• Conduct detailed diligence on transition‑related financial and accounting items
• Identify gaps, risks, and adjustments to strengthen financial onboarding
• Support accurate and timely post‑close financial reporting
• Serve as an accounting resource for cross‑functional teams during integrations
• Support Technical Accounting
• Conduct technical accounting research on complex or non-routine transactions
• Support writing technical accounting memos
• Provide technical support during audits by providing memos, documentation and explanations of accounting conclusions
• Perform Ad Hoc Audit and Project Support
• Provide ad hoc support for internal and external audit requests
• Assist with special projects focused on process improvement and strengthening internal controls
• Collaborate cross‑functionally on one‑off issues and strategic initiatives
Job Requirements
- 4–7 years of progressive accounting experience
- CPA preferred
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, including ASC 340-40 and ASC 718 (preferred)
- Experience with Workday preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
