Job Description
• Architect and implement engine enhancements to meet performance and functionality requirements
• Identify rendering limitations in Unreal Engine and design solutions that support our visual identity and fidelity goals
• Establish GPU frame budgets in collaboration with the technical art department
• Partner with art teams to create tools and technologies that bring dynamism to our worlds
• Improve and maintain shared engine technology across the company to support multiple projects and teams
• Debug and resolve engine and game issues, ensuring stability and performance
• Optimize memory usage, GPU and CPU workloads, and rendering performance across platforms
• Mentor programmers and provide technical guidance to the team
Job Requirements
- Extensive professional experience in game development, including significant focus on rendering architecture
- Experience contributing to a shipped game project in a production environment
- Experience developing for consoles (e.g., Xbox, PlayStation) and PC platforms
- Strong proficiency in C++
- Strong experience with GPU-driven rendering pipeline techniques
- Deep understanding of data structures, streaming workflows, and multithreaded programming
- Experience with low-level GPU profiling, debugging, and optimization
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex technical challenges and deliver effective solutions
- Commitment to high technical standards and advancing game engine technology
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative, proactive approach to teamwork
