Job Description

• Provide highly visible customer support through on-site installation • Oversee necessary diagnoses, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex equipment and systems • Instruct customers in the operation and maintenance of the system • Serve as company liaison with customer on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects • Install, maintain, validate and repair PerkinElmer and/or multivendor instrumentation at customer site • Provide troubleshooting, repair, and qualification services for customers including warranty services • Communicate service offerings including training, support, software, laboratory services products and field upgrades • Partner with customers to understand analytical workflow and applications • Demonstrate knowledge of and adherence to installation, warranty, and service agreement documentation standards • Maintain assigned assets including tools, test equipment, telecommunication equipment, assigned service parts inventory • Proactively develop technical and soft skills to maintain and enhance PerkinElmer’s value proposition to customer • Complete all administrative tasks including time reporting, assigned training, etc.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Applied Science, Biology, Chemistry, Electronics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related discipline including military experience plus 2 years direct experience with repair of laboratory equipment OR Associate Degree in Applied Science, Biology, Chemistry, Electronics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related discipline including military experience plus 4 years direct experience with repair of laboratory equipment OR High School Diploma plus 10 years direct experience with repair of laboratory equipment
  • Experience using Microsoft 365
  • Detailed knowledge of analytical equipment, laboratory environment, and/or instrument control software
  • Ability to travel by air, vehicle and/or other means of transportation as business requires.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
