Job Description

• Analyze & Solve Problems: Use your knowledge of performance analysis techniques—including trending, root-cause analysis, and gap analysis—to uncover insights and help the business understand what’s happening and why. • Build Dashboards & Reports: Assist in creating, enhancing, and maintaining dashboards and visual tools that help teams track and manage operational performance with confidence. • Translate Business Needs: Work with partners to understand requirements and convert them into conceptual and logical data models that enable accurate and meaningful reporting. • Transform & Visualize Data: Extract, manipulate, and prepare data from multiple sources, turning it into intuitive formats that make it easier for teams to understand performance trends. • Support Operational Excellence: Provide broad analytical and operational support that empowers your business unit to operate efficiently and effectively. • Deliver Key Performance Insights: Collaborate with internal partners to provide critical performance data related to products, channels, and member experiences. • Study Performance Trends: Conduct analytical studies that surface meaningful insights about emerging patterns, risks, and opportunities. • Use BECU Systems for Deep Analysis: Leverage internal systems for querying, modeling, forecasting, trending, variance analysis, and additional forms of operational assessment. • Break Down Complex Problems: Analyze organizational data and challenges, helping stakeholders understand root issues and possible solutions. • Contribute to Research Efforts: Support qualitative and quantitative primary research through all phases of project execution. • Gather Strategic Insights: Identify and gather data that supports assessments, long-range planning, and evaluations of potential new or enhanced products and services. • Generate Action-Oriented Insights: Provide creative, strategic insights into key business drivers, market conditions, industry trends, and member needs. • Support Recovery Partner Accuracy: Manage placement and maintenance records for third‑party collection agencies—sending and recalling accounts, reconciling data, ensuring timely updates, and preserving data integrity and compliance across recovery partners. • Take on Additional Opportunities: Perform additional duties as assigned that contribute to team and organizational success.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems or other related quantitative field, or equivalent work or educational experience required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in data mining, query development, multi-system data integration required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in financial institution data analysis and reporting preferred.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, SharePoint and Business Intelligence reporting required.
  • Analytical skills, the ability to prioritize and solid time management skills required.
  • Ability to gather pertinent data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions, as well as formulate ideas and recommendations, required.
  • Proficient verbal and written skills required to effectively communicate in the English language.
  • Proficient math skills with a high degree of accuracy required.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of internal customers required.
  • Experience with Tableau preferred.
