Job Description
• Own and execute revenue and inventory related close activities as part of the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process
• Prepare, review, and reconcile close schedules with a strong focus on accuracy, timeliness, and documentation
• Reduce manual close effort by identifying opportunities to automate reconciliations, journal entries, and large spreadsheet-based models
• Leverage data warehouse outputs and reporting tools to support close analytics, variance analysis, and tie-outs
• Ensure revenue is recorded in accordance with U.S. GAAP, including complex and bespoke commercial agreements
• Support inventory accounting processes related to ticket brokerage activities, including cost recognition, reserves, and reconciliations
• Support audit requests related to revenue, inventory, and close processes
• Incorporate new products, business models, or commercial terms into existing revenue accounting processes
• Partner with Business Technology, Data, and Engineering teams to design, test, and implement automation solutions
• Support management to complete special projects and ad-hoc reporting
• Communicate regularly with your manager and teammates, providing proactive updates and surfacing questions early
Job Requirements
- 3+ years of accounting experience with significant hands-on close execution responsibility (Big 4 experience strongly preferred)
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, with an emphasis on revenue recognition
- Experience with marketplace, eCommerce, or inventory-based businesses is a strong plus
- Strong interest in automation, AI-enabled workflows, and process optimization
- Comfort working with large and complex spreadsheets, with a desire to streamline or replace them
- Familiarity with querying data warehouses and reading SQL. Writing SQL is a plus
- Collaborative and pragmatic approach to partnering with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Curiosity about systems, data flows, and how information moves through a business
- Strong analytical skills, ownership mindset, and attention to detail
