• Develop and execute a multi‑year engineering strategy aligned with business objectives. • Lead, mentor, and grow high‑performing engineering teams, including managers, leads, and senior engineers. • Build and promote an engineering culture focused on innovation, automation, continuous learning, and operational excellence. • Establish standards for code quality, testing, documentation, and operational excellence. • Evaluate and adopt new technologies that improve product capability or engineering efficiency. • Ensure platform reliability, scalability, and robust system performance. • Work closely with cross-functional leaders to align priorities and remove blockers. • Assess the current state of operational systems and create a plan to ensure their continued viability or a plan to replace them. • Act as a key IT liaison for MEMIC’s business areas, consulting and advising on software and other IT issues. • Plan and allocate development team resources across product teams, projects, production support and other technology initiatives ensuring they have the skills necessary to achieve their objectives. • Work with the Chief Information Security Officer to ensure software is effectively secured and that risks are mitigated.
