Job Description
• Own the Marketing Strategy: Define and execute the end-to-end marketing plan, including brand positioning, demand generation, digital strategy, product marketing, and customer engagement.
• Master the Customer Journey: In partnership with Sales and Revenue leadership, design and implement a comprehensive customer journey that drives acquisition, engagement, and long-term retention.
• Refine Our Targeting: Sharpen our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) and buyer personas by analyzing competitive intelligence, market trends, and win-loss data.
• Craft Our Narrative: Create succinct, value-driven messaging that clearly articulates the power and value of the Builder Prime platform.
• Manage the Marketing Engine: Develop and manage the annual marketing budget, ensuring effective resource allocation and a clear ROI. Deliver data-driven forecasts and performance reports to the leadership team and board of directors.
• Drive Growth & Accountability: Take ownership of key marketing metrics including Sales Accepted Leads (SALs), pipeline generation, and customer acquisition cost (CAC).
• Build & Lead a High-Performing Team: Build, mentor, and scale the marketing team, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture aligned with company goals. Build functions using AI teammates where possible.
• Align with Product & Sales: Partner closely with the Product team to connect our roadmap to the go-to-market strategy and with Sales to ensure seamless collaboration and maximum impact.
Job Requirements
- Proven Growth-Stage Experience: A track record of contributing meaningfully to scaling a B2B SaaS company through a significant growth phase (e.g., from $5M to $25M ARR).
- Series A/B Leadership: Prior experience leading a marketing function in a Series A or Series B company is highly desired.
- Full-Stack Marketing Expertise: Deep experience across multiple marketing disciplines, including demand generation, account-based marketing, product marketing, events, customer marketing, and partner marketing.
- Industry Knowledge (Preferred): Direct experience marketing to the home improvement, residential/commercial construction, or field services industries is strongly preferred.
- Exceptional Collaboration Skills: A history of strong partnership with Sales leadership (specifically in a structure with a Sales-owned SDR function) and the ability to work effectively with executives and product managers.
- Team-Building Experience: Demonstrated success in hiring, mentoring, and scaling a marketing team.
- Data-Driven Storytelling: The ability to use data to inform strategy, define customer segments, and measure ROI, and then weave that data into a compelling story that resonates with all stakeholders.
- MarTech Proficiency: Deep experience with modern marketing/sales platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce), analytics tools, and channel-specific platforms (SEO, Paid Ads, ABM), with a history of partnering with Revenue Operations on systems and data.
- A 'Player-Coach' Mentality: Able to think strategically at a high level while also being willing and able to roll up your sleeves and execute alongside the team.
