Job Description

• Establish a diverse and robust customer base – both new and existing customers. • Approximately 80% of this role will be spent developing new customers utilizing a consultative relationship selling approach. • Approximately 20% will be growing current customer relationships. • Proactively prospect and cultivate relationships and grow revenue by building and managing the sales pipeline with new and existing customers. • Facilitate RFQ process (as needed), deliver proposals (with the help of cross-functional team members as appropriate) and close business. • Take responsibility to help establish and then achieve annual sales forecast and profit objectives. • Work with customers to ensure continual sales growth and that the products we manufacture are a good fit for the organization. • Work collaboratively with Engineers and Managers (internal and external) to effectively meet customer needs and expectations. • Identify and represent Trim Systems & Components division at key tradeshows and networking events to further expand knowledge of the industry and CVG’s value-proposition. • Participate in and influence the new product development process as the voice of the customer to help drive new product ideas and offerings to drive Trim Systems’ strategic vision. • Stay informed of customer business opportunities, account changes, current conditions, prospects, and competitive landscape to protect revenue from competitors. • Participate and support the marketing communications and digital presence of TS&C division. • Support with sales materials development (blog posts, articles, etc.)

Job Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or marketing disciplines or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred 5+ years sales or engineering experience in the plastic injection industry.
  • Knowledge of engineering or technical operations.
  • Strong knowledge of selling technical solutions.
  • Preferred knowledge of injection molding custom solutions in plastics including tooling building.
  • Ability to travel frequently (50% or more – North America).
  • To work independently with limited supervision.
  • To be able to solve practical problems and work effectively with external and internal customers and other departments.
  • To be a strategic thinker.
  • Ability to translate strategy into tactical implementation.
