Job Description
Job Requirements
- Required Certifications: CCS, RHIT, RHIA, CPC, CCS-P
- Experience: Hospital Inpatient Coding experience (required)
- Multi-specialty coding proficiency
- Proficiency in ICD‑10‑CM/PCS, CPT, and HCPCS
- Knowledge of CMS, AMA CPT, ICD‑10‑CM/PCS, and VHA/VA compliance standards
- Ability to review clinical documentation and resolve discrepancies
- Experience with electronic health records; VA systems preferred
- Must pass all VHA background investigations and credentialing
- References Required: Provide three (3) references from recent employment. One reference must be within the past 1 year Include organization name/address, title, Period of Performance, brief description of duties, and HR/manager contact info (name/title/phone/email)
