Job Description

• Manage the full monthly and quarterly close process across leasing and lending entities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with U.S. GAAP. • Oversee reconciliations, journal entries, and close checklists in BlackLine to maintain control integrity and streamline processes. • Lead the preparation of consolidated financial statements and supporting schedules for management and external reporting. • Research, interpret, and document complex accounting issues including lease classification, revenue recognition (ASC 842 and 606), and allowance methodologies. • Draft technical accounting memos and lead internal discussions with external auditors. • Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls, process documentation, and accounting policies to support SOX compliance and audit readiness. • Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Operations, Treasury, and Audit teams to ensure alignment on financial reporting and process improvements. • Identify and drive initiatives to improve efficiency and accuracy within accounting operations. • Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals, fostering accountability, growth, and collaboration.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory or management role and 2+ years in public accounting.
  • Strong understanding of lease-to-own or consumer financing accounting principles and month-end close processes.
  • Proficiency with NetSuite, BlackLine, and advanced Excel skills.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex accounting matters to non-finance partners.
  • Analytical, proactive, and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
