Job Description
• Take full ownership of a core business domain and drive it toward stability and reliability
• Write, review, and refactor code while resolving production issues
• Systematically reduce technical debt without slowing down product delivery
• Collaborate closely with our offshore development team
• Make pragmatic technical decisions that balance short-term impact with long-term maintainability
• Build foundational testing, monitoring, and documentation that currently don’t exist
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience;
- Experience working at a high-growth or scaled company;
- Strong fundamentals across multiple languages and framework, specially PHP/CodeIgniter and Ruby on Rails;
- Proven track record of ownership and delivering projects end-to-end;
- Comfort working independently and making decisions with imperfect information;
- Availability to work in US or Canada time zones (fully remote).
- Familiarity with MySQL/Aurora and AWS environments is a plus.
