Job Description
• Own the eCommerce Architecture for Liferay DXP + Commerce including catalog, pricing, promotions, checkout, and order orchestration.
• Define target/reference architectures, guardrails, and patterns for scale, resilience, and cost.
• Evolve the experience toward modular, maintainable solutions leveraging leading-edge Liferay platform features.
• Establish a prioritized remediation plan for tech debt and improve stability/performance through code standards and platform upgrades.
• Provide technical leadership to a cross-functional squad.
• Define and enforce API contracts, versioning, and integration patterns.
• Set SLOs and implement performance monitoring and capacity planning.
• Partner with security on PCI-relevant flows, PII, and secure coding.
Job Requirements
- 7+ years implementing Liferay DXP (Portal/Content/Commerce), including extensions, OSGi modules, upgrade paths, and the headless toolset;
- Strong experience with React and DXP client‑extension/remote‑app patterns;
- Practical understanding of catalog models, entitlement/pricing, promotions, checkout/payment/tax, order management, B2B/B2C flows;
- Proven patterns for integrating DXP with CRM, payments, tax, search, marketing, and analytics;
- Track record improving delivery speed and quality through architecture runway, quality gates, and CI/CD;
- Experience with performance tuning, capacity planning, caching/CDN, and production observability;
- Familiar with secure coding practices, OWASP Top 10, and compliance considerations across commerce flows;
- Executive-friendly communication; ability to align stakeholders, guide partners, and make decisions with incomplete information.
