Role Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Chartered Accountant or experienced Financial Controller to assist with a short-term accounting project focused on cleaning up prior-period financial records. This role requires a strong technical understanding of balance sheets, journal entries, and financial reporting, along with solid hands-on experience using QuickBooks.
The successful candidate will initially support a 3–6 month clean-up project. If the engagement proves successful, there is strong potential for ongoing Financial Controller–level work supporting the business on a regular basis.
Qualifications
- Qualified Chartered Accountant / CPA or experienced Financial Controller
- Strong hands-on experience with QuickBooks
- Excellent understanding of balance sheets, reconciliations, and journal entries
- Proven experience cleaning up or restructuring accounting records
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of the clean-up process
- Strong communication skills

- Experience working with small to mid-sized businesses
