The Role
Huge is looking for a Senior Data Engineer with strong experience in web analytics implementation and data tracking architecture. In this role, you will support the implementation and optimization of analytics frameworks that enable accurate measurement of user behavior across digital platforms.
You will work closely with engineering, product, and analytics teams to ensure that tracking systems are properly implemented, scalable, and aligned with business and reporting needs. This role requires hands-on experience with Google Analytics ecosystems and a strong understanding of web data instrumentation.

This is a freelance contract role. Candidates must be available for the full duration of the project and agree to the allocation and hours outlined below before entering the interview process.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Implement and maintain Google Analytics tracking across web platforms.
- Configure and manage event tracking and conversion tracking strategies.
- Implement and maintain Google Tag Manager containers and tagging architecture.
- Develop and manage DataLayer structures to ensure accurate data capture.
- Support GA4 implementation and optimization for web analytics.
- Ensure proper web analytics instrumentation for user behavior tracking.
- Validate tracking accuracy and collaborate with teams to resolve tracking issues.
- Work with engineering and product teams to ensure analytics tracking aligns with platform architecture.
- Support the implementation of scalable tracking frameworks for digital products.
- Ensure data accuracy for reporting, performance analysis, and decision-making.
What We’d Like to See
- Strong experience with Google Analytics tagging and implementation.
- Hands-on experience with Google Analytics 4 (GA4).
- Experience implementing and managing Google Tag Manager (GTM).
- Experience configuring event tracking and conversion tracking.
- Experience implementing and managing DataLayer structures.
- Strong understanding of web analytics instrumentation and user behavior tracking.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in agile environments.
