Job Description
The Aspen Group (TAG) is one of the largest and most trusted retail healthcare business support organizations in the U.S. and has supported over 20,000 healthcare professionals and team members with close to 1,500 health and wellness offices across 48 states in four distinct categories: dental care, urgent care, medical aesthetics, and animal health. Working in partnership with independent practice owners and clinicians, the team is united by a single purpose: to prove that healthcare can be better and smarter for everyone. TAG provides a comprehensive suite of centralized business support services that power the impact of five consumer-facing businesses: Aspen Dental, ClearChoice Dental Implant Centers, WellNow Urgent Care, Chapter Aesthetic Studio, and Lovet Pet Health Care(formerly AZPetVet). Each brand has access to a deep community of experts, tools and resources to grow their practices, and an unwavering commitment to delivering high-quality consumer healthcare experiences at scale.
As a reflection of our current needs and planned growth we are very pleased to offer a new opportunity to join our dedicated Lovet team as the Director, Talent Acquisition. We are a scaling family of animal hospitals with locations in Arizona, Illinois and Michigan, the first practice (Arrow Animal Hospital) opened in the Glendale area. Today, that practice has grown to a family of over 20 collaborative hospitals built upon the principle of outstanding patient care and client service. This is an opportunity to impact the organizations growth through the attraction of key clinical talent.
What Are We Looking For?
As a reflection of our continued growth, we are excited to offer the opportunity to join Lovet as our Director of Talent Acquisition, reporting directly to the VP, People. This is a highly visible and mission-critical leadership role responsible for developing, implementing, and driving enterprise-wide Talent Acquisition strategies. This role blends strategic vision with hands-on scaling expertise. You will strengthen and elevate an already successful recruitment team that supports the acquisition of veterinary care professionals across the organization — including both experienced professionals and graduate hires. You will design an effective team structure and inspire, challenge, and develop a team that is knowledgeable, high-performing, and well-respected both internally and within the industry. As Director of Talent Acquisition, you will oversee the full candidate lifecycle — sourcing, recruiting, referral generation, screening, interviewing, and offer processes for veterinarians and hospital professionals. With a strong strategy in place, you will continuously evaluate and enhance processes across all recruitment channels, including employer brand, messaging, marketing strategy, recruiter effectiveness, and partnership with operational and departmental leadership.
How Will You Contribute to the Success of Lovet?

- Identify, implement, and monitor staffing best practices to improve efficiency and quality while reducing cost and time-to-fill
- Oversee the use of assessment tools within the hiring process
- Collaborate with the broader TAG community to leverage Centers of Excellence and peer expertise
- Partner with business leaders to design and execute staffing plans that optimize the mix of internal and external hiring
- Build relationships with external thought leaders in the Talent Acquisition space
- Lead and innovate graduate hiring strategy, positioning Lovet as the #1 destination for veterinary students
