Job Description
• Own and evolve the design system’s architecture
• Define and advocate for best practices in collaboration between designers and engineers
• Guide the transformation of the design system into a technically robust platform
• Define and track success metrics for the design system
• Set standards for quality, performance, accessibility, and consistency
• Collaborate actively with Platform Engineering, Product Management, and other stakeholders
• Mentor and empower designers and engineers
• Establish contribution and governance models and processes for ongoing maintenance and evolution of the system
Job Requirements
- 8+ years in digital product design, front-end engineering, or design systems leadership
- Demonstrated expertise in accessibility standards and inclusive design
- Demonstrated expertise in managing enterprise-scale design systems
- Proficiency in front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and frameworks (React, Angular)
- Proven track record in bridging design and code
- Advanced understanding of emerging design technologies, including generative AI
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with agile, iterative development and change management in large organizations
- Prior experience working within Platform Engineering or collaborating with engineering leadership
