Role Description

We are currently looking for a Community-led Economies & Finance Director. In this role, you will be pivotal in shaping and executing a strategy that aligns with Indigenous rights, community governance, and economic self-determination. Your expertise will drive innovative financing solutions that support community-led conservation efforts globally.

  • Lead the development and execution of Community-led Economies and Finance strategy.
  • Collaborate with field programs and partners to advance community-led financial solutions.
  • Champion financial models that support long-term funding and economic sovereignty.
  • Coordinate efforts across integrated conservation finance projects.
  • Uphold rights-based approaches and community engagement in financial frameworks.
  • Serve as a thought leader in community-led economies and finance for the organization.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in community finance, conservation finance, and economic development.
  • Proven leadership experience in designing and implementing impactful strategies.
  • Strong understanding of Indigenous rights and community governance.
  • Ability to navigate complex organizational structures and build strategic partnerships.
  • Excellent communication skills with stakeholders at various levels.
  • Master’s Degree in relevant field with 5+ years of experience.
