Role Description
This role involves leading the water market for the food and beverage sector at Geosyntec, focusing on business growth and project delivery.
- Develop and implement a strategy for achieving significant market share in the Water for the Food and Beverage market area.
- Support business growth associated with complex drinking water and industrial wastewater projects.
- Engage with project and operations staff to align service delivery capabilities with market demands.
- Participate in the development and implementation of the firm’s strategic plan.
- Implement a personal business development plan to expand services and revenue.
- Serve as Client Account Manager on critical accounts.
- Participate in professional societies, conferences, and meetings to increase visibility.
- Direct projects ensuring client expectations, budgets, and quality objectives are met.
- Recruit, manage, and mentor junior staff and mid-career engineers and scientists.
- Review and lead the preparation of major proposals.
- Prepare for and participate in meetings with clients and regulatory personnel.
- Fieldwork may include contractor oversight and process troubleshooting tasks.
- Travel up to 30% for client or company project or office sites.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (civil, chemical, or environmental preferred).
- Advanced degree (same as above) preferred.
- Professional registration (i.e., P.E.) required.
Requirements
- At least 15 years of progressive experience in the consulting industry or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated experience with industrial and municipal clients on water supply, treatment, and reuse projects.
- Working knowledge of Federal and State regulations.
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary project teams.
- Success in developing and managing clients and sustaining a group of professional junior staff.
- Excellent leadership and detail-orientation skills.
- Ability to handle multiple project assignments and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong oral and technical writing skills.
- Valid U.S driver’s license and satisfactory driving record for business travel.
