Role Description

This role involves building and leading a corporate development function to create future growth opportunities through strategic partnerships and business development.

  • Accountable for sourcing, negotiating, and closing highly strategic “One-AAA” national partnerships.
  • Partner with Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and senior leaders to align and prioritize future growth opportunities.
  • Cultivate a deep network of relationships across the industry and in key growth segments.
  • Identify industry trends and areas of competitive differentiation through market research.
  • Build and manage a robust pipeline of One-AAA OEM prospects and partners.
  • Drive successful implementation of partnerships, ensuring mutual success.
  • Provide regular updates on overall corporate development pipeline and outcomes to executives and Board of Directors.
  • Build and lead a high performing team that promotes an inclusive environment.
  • Accountable for building a new corporate development function that impacts long-term growth strategy.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years experience in corporate and business development, preferably in a regulated industry.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in negotiating complex deals and partnerships.
  • Proven ability to lead others directly or indirectly, with 5+ years of leading teams or large cross-functional programs.
  • Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree.
  • Proven track record of success at a senior level in developing strategies for new markets.
  • Keen business acumen to identify and assess the impact of industry trends.
  • Strong partner management skills to build relationships and expand partnerships.
  • Excellent interpersonal communications and presentation skills.
  • Self-starter with a bias for action, speed, and results.
