Proofreader, Part-Time / Remote (1099 Contractor)

Are you the person who notices the typo everyone else missed? We're looking for a sharp-eyed, detail-driven Proofreader to help ensure our business advertising is accurate, polished, and contract-compliant before it goes to print. If you take pride in getting the details right and enjoy flexible, independent work, this role is a great fit.

What You'll Do

• Review magazine layouts and verify that business ads match their contracts, including copy, addresses, phone numbers, and any customizations
• Review the overall customization of each product to confirm it aligns with the submitted order requirements
• Cross-reference Salesforce CRM data against published ads to catch discrepancies
• Communicate clearly with the team when corrections are needed

Qualities We Are Looking For

• A sharp eye for detail and a low tolerance for errors
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently
• Comfort working with Adobe Acrobat Pro, Salesforce, and Microsoft Teams

The Details

• Pay: Per project, with expected annual earnings around $30,000
• Hours: Roughly 10 hours per week, with a flexible schedule
• Contract type: 1099 Independent Contractor (this position is not eligible for employee benefits, including health insurance, paid time off, or retirement plans)
