Job Description
Role Description
The Compliance Director will lead critical operational activities within Convatec’s global compliance program. Core responsibilities include:
- Driving global policy updates
- Ensuring efficient and meaningful training and communications
- Developing and executing a global training and communication strategy
- Designing and managing a coordinated global monitoring plan
The role requires strong judgment, initiative, and deep subject matter expertise. Candidates must possess strong working knowledge of:
- Global anti-bribery, anti-corruption, and anti-kickback laws
- Global privacy laws
Significant experience implementing and operating compliance programs in the life sciences industry is essential. The Director will engage cross-functionally across business and geographies and must be skilled in:
- Assessing key metrics
- Interpreting compliance KPIs
- Developing dashboards that drive insights and inform priorities
The ideal candidate will be based in the Eastern or Central time zone within the United States.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
- Deep working knowledge of the enforcement environment and key risks facing life sciences organizations
- 15 plus years of legal and compliance experience, ideally with a medical device, pharmaceutical, or related health care sectors
- Experience with global compliance issues, including anti-bribery, anti-corruption, anti-kickback, False Claims Act, and privacy compliance
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills are required
- Strong judgment, analytical capability, discretion, cultural sensitivity, diligence, and collaborative work style
