Chartwells K12 is seeking an Associate Director of Business Development who shares our values, wants to work with a team of great individuals, must win and wants to join winners, and is committed to contributing to and being part of our success. Reporting to the VP of sales with a dotted line to the Regional Sales Director, the Associate Director of Business Development will be responsible for expanding our Chartwells K12 client portfolio in the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic region by:
- Building very strong external and internal relationships
- Conducting extensive prospect research
- Generating quality leads
- Developing prospects
- Being instrumental in selling new business
The successful candidate will share our values of excellence and integrity and will work with a sense of urgency with our prospective clients to understand their current and future needs. The Associate Director of Business Development will educate prospects on the benefits of working with Chartwells by:
- Clearly establishing the value of our services related to their specific needs
- Distinguishing our services from competitors – with our service, culture, and commitment to the very best student nutrition
Essential Functions and Key Tasks:
- Reports to Region VP of Sales
- Works across geographic regions as assigned
- 50-60% Travel
- Responsibilities include:
- High degree of Cold Call Prospecting
- Time and Territory Management
- Trade Show Support
- Building strong internal and external relationships
- Proposal Development/RFP Responses
- Database Management / Maintenance
- Presentations and email marketing support
- Extensive Prospect Research and Pre-call planning
- Survey Support / Execution
- Initial Prospect Qualification
- Developing financial proforma modeling
- Contract Support
